The Governor's Workforce Board RI is pleased to announce the Request for Proposals for the 2010 Comprehensive Workforce Training Grant Program

Approximately $2 million has been allocated for incumbent worker training projects.  All employers that pay into the Job Development Fund can apply for up to $50,000 in matching funds to train their existing workforce.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Applications are available on December 28, 2009.
  • The pre-proposal conference is January 13, 2010.
  • The proposal due date is February 5, 2010.
  • The Pre-Proposal Conference will be held

Wednesday, January 13, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at the

Community College of RI (CCRI) Flanagan Campus, 1762 Louisquisset Pike,

Lecture Hall 2706, Lincoln, RI.

Board staff will address the objectives of the RFP in detail, including criteria that must be met for proposals to be accepted, and will respond to attendees' questions.  Pre-register by contacting Maureen Mooney at mmooney@dlt.ri.gov or by calling 462-8860.

Any company that has received funding under the 2009 Comprehensive Grant is not eligible to apply.
